Presidio Native Plant Nursery

Come join your fellow Carls to help restore the Golden Gate National Parks! The Presidio Native Plant Nursery (Adam Sharron ’00) and the Presidio Park Stewards (Andy Kleinhesselink ’05) will host a program of habitat restoration in the Presidio of San Francisco. We will be planting native plants and removing invasives to enhance the remnant natural areas of one of the world’s largest urban national parks.

We will work rain or shine, and raingear will be provided if it’s neccessary. Please wear sturdy boots or shoes, and clothes that you won’t mind getting dirty. We’ll re-connect over snack and coffee during the break!

As a special small-liberal-arts-college bonus, our co-worker Mark Frey (Oberlin ‘00) is co-hosting this event for the Oberlin College Bay Area alumni club. So come on Knights, let’s out-plant the Yeomen! Even though we’re a smaller school, we can have higher attendance! Alumni, parents and friends are welcome.

For directions and a map to the Nursery, visit www.parksconservancy.org and follow the link to the Native Plant Nurseries.
