New York Club Broomball Event

New York Carleton Club Broomball Event

Saturday, January 26th, 2008
8:00 pm / New York

Dear New York Carleton Alums,

As you look back fondly at those beautiful days of Carleton and reminisce on the many good times you had, what do you think of most? Good friends, stimulating professors, fun times? No. You think of...

BROOMBALL! And it would be just mean to remind you of that glorious sport without also letting you know that we are organizing a game for Carleton alums, right here in New York City. That's right, we're bringing the Minnesotan zaniness of a sport played on ice without skates to NYC.

The details

When: Saturday, January 26th, 8-10 p.m.

Where: Lasker Rink, which is at the North End of Central

Park, just south of the entrance at 110th St. and Lenox Ave.

How Much: $20 per person.

Who: You!

Also it's likely, we being Carls and all, that we'll go enjoy a beverage after the fun on the ice, but that hasn't been formally arranged yet.

Questions and/or to RSVP, please contact Mike Olson '03, Dan Selz '06 or Mary Harvey '03. To secure your spot, call the Alumni Affairs Office at 800-729-2586 with your credit card information. If you’d like to attend as a spectator ONLY, please also RSVP to the event coordinators listed above. Spectating is free but less fun. Also, if you have a bike helmet, and can bring one, that would be excellent.

Happy New Year to you all and good luck counting down the days until the 26th.

Hope to see you there!
