February 12, 7:30 a.m. - Brooks Davis '95

The Montessori Method: Brooks received his MEd from Loyola College in Maryland and currently serves Assistant to the Principle at Lake Country School. He has spent the last 13 years teaching and working in education administration. He will discuss Dr. Maria Montessori's vision of education as a natural and joyful outgrowth of a child's natural tendency to become more fully human. A math major at Carleton, Brooks also will demonstrate the system's use of concrete materials in teaching math.
