The Seattle Carleton Club invites you to

Coffee with Professor Ruth Weiner

Saturday, May 2, 2009, 10 a.m.

at Caffe Zingaro
127 Mercer Street, Seattle
http://www.caffezingaro.com/index.htm

Please join your fellow Carleton alumni and parents for an informal conversation with Professor Ruth Weiner at Caffe Zingaro. Professor Weiner—Class of 1944 Professor of Theater and the Liberal Arts, Chair of Theater and Dance, and Professor of English—is visiting Seattle for the opening of Barbara Field’s play on April 30th at Seattle Children’s Theatre.  (Professor Field is a visiting professor at Carleton.)

Cost: The only cost is purchasing your own beverage.

We also encourage you to go see Professor’s Field’s play, I Was A Rat, at 7 p.m. on April 30th.  In a similar vein as Wicked or The Ugly Stepsister, I Was a Rat shows us a different perspective on a well-traveled tale.  Seattle Children’s Theatre is located at the Seattle Center.  Tickets can be purchased here: http://www.sct.org/.

Directions:  Please visit the website for driving directions. Caffe Zingaro is located just a block up from the Seattle Repertory Theater and across from The Metropolitan Market.  Any Metro Bus that stops at Queen Anne and Mercer will put you within walking distance.

For questions contact Kathy Bond ’04 or Sharon Pitteri ‘01.  RSVP preferred but not necessary.  We hope to see you there!
