Please join Carleton alums, parents and friends for a concert featuring Carleton College Pianist Matthew McCright. McCright performs new works by Minnesota composers Kirsten Broberg, Paul Cantrell, James Marentic, Daniell Nass, Justin Rubin and Adam Wernick.
American pianist Matthew McCright is rapidly gaining international visibility as one of the most sought after pianists in contemporary music. McCright has thrilled audiences and critics alike with an imaginative repertoire that spans both the traditional and a wide range of contemporary works throughout the United States and Europe. He has collaborated with acclaimed composers such as Pauline Oliveros, Terry Riley, Michael Gordon; Julia Wolfe and Mark Anthony Turnage. McCright has been featured in articles in the NewMusicBox magazine and released his solo disc, "Second Childhood," with Innova Records in early 2009.
