Carleton at the Museum: London Street Photography
The London Carleton Club presents
The Museum of London:
London Street Photography
Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2 p.m.
Street photographs are at the heart of our understanding of London as a diverse and dynamic capital. This major exhibition at the Museum of London showcases an extraordinary collection of London street photography with over 200 candid images of everyday life in the street. From sepia-toned scenes of horse-drawn cabs taken on bulky tripod-mounted cameras to 21st century Londoners digitally ‘caught on film’, explore how street photography has evolved from 1860 to the present day.
The exhibition and the museum are both free and suitable for families. After the exhibition, we’ll do drinks/snacks at a pub in the area.
Groups of 10 or more must book in advance, so please let Jesse Alter '03 know if you're coming as soon as possible. If you need assistance, contact the Alumni Relations Office at alumni-office@carleton.edu
.
