Join Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (SPDT) for the world premiere of Matinee, a dance/theater/film adaption of American novelist Robert Cover's New Yorker short story of the same name. Co-directed by Stuart Pimsler and Suzanne Costello in collaboration with filmmaker Andrew Welken, films within films collide as performers search for connection and romance.
A reception in the foyer of the movie theater at 6 p.m. will kick off our evening and include a pre-performance talk with the SPDT co-directors. Carleton host, Beth Lewis '71, has followed development of this production from initial story reading through merger of dance and film, with a cameo film role in vintage dress. Food and beverage will be served.
RSVP by February 10 here.
Cost: $24. Tickets can be purchased on the Carleton website and picked up upon arrival at The Woman's Club.
