Join the New York Carleton Club Team

for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Sunday, September 9, 2007, 9 a.m.

Every three minutes, somewhere in the United States, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Now you can help fight the disease by joining 20,000 fellow New Yorkers -- and a team of your fellow Carls -- in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a 5K run/walk through beautiful Central Park. The Komen Foundation awards more than $3 million annually in grants that fund education, screening, and treatment programs in New York City, as well as national research.

To register with the New York Carleton Club team:

1. On the Web, go to www.komennyc.org/goto/nycarletonclub.

2. In the Team Roster box, click the Join New York Carleton Club link.

3. Follow the registration instructions. There is a $25 registration fee.

Walkers, runners, and non-Carls are all welcome to participate! On the morning of the race, we’ll meet at the Imagine circle in Strawberry Fields (just north of the West Side park entrance at 72nd St.) at 8:45 a.m. for materials distribution. Please try to register by August 27 so your materials can be included in the team kit; you can still register after that, but you will be responsible for picking up your materials individually. Contact team leader Cheryl Klein ’00 if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!
