The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is the nation’s primary research and development center for renewable and alternative energy.  Join us for this very personal tour—not the public tour that everyone else gets.  Keith Emery, NREL Device Performance Team Leader, will lead the tour, joined by current and former NREL personnel:  Peter Ellis ’95, Dana Olson ’00, Christina Ingersoll ’02, and Ben Rupert ’00.  We’ll meet at NREL’s Visitor’s Center at 8:30 for the tour.  Afterward, participants may go to lunch at a local restaurant.

This tour is limited to 24 attendees, and RSVPs are necessary.  Please contact George Witman ’78 by August 22 to RSVP or with any questions.  (Participants must be 18 years or older; two reservations per party.)  If you are not a U.S. citizen, please contact George by August 15 for information about security clearances.  (This is a high-security area.)

Directions:  NREL's Visitors Center is located on the South Table Mountain Site in Golden, Colorado.  Travel on Interstate-70 to Exit 263, Denver West Boulevard, and turn north.  Travel toward the Denver West Marriott Hotel and turn left at the traffic light on to Denver West Parkway.  The Visitors Center is the first building on your right past NREL's entrance sign.  For more information and a map, go to http://www.nrel.gov/visitors_center/
