On Sunday, January 16th, the Carleton CT Club will be attending the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History’s presentation of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Legacy of Environmental and Social Justice in New Haven, Ct.  Cited by the New Haven Advocate newspaper as an extraordinary event that "people will remember for years," this event will highlight Dr. King Jr’s remarkable efforts and achievements through educational activities and "world class" performances.  This is an event for the whole family.

Admission is free.  Look for Connecticut Club Chair Atakawee Choosang '99 (wearing Carleton "gear").  See schedule below:

12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Meet in the lobby of the museum (location and museum entrance is on the corner of Sachem and Whitney)

12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. - "Past and Present:  We Live the Legacy!" storytelling session

1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. - Discussion/view exhibits

2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. - African Arawak drumming performance

2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Discussion
(You may also stay past 3 p.m. for other performances)
