Pipestone Vineyards Winery Field Trip

Carleton alums, parents and friends are invited to a Pipestone Vineyards Winery Field Trip.  Come enjoy good food, good folks, and good wines in a gorgeous setting.  Husband and wife Carleton grads, Jeff Pipes '83 and Florence Wong '84, own Pipestone Vineyards, a small family winery with a dedicated history of sustainable farming and producing handmade Estate Grown Rhône-style wines. They will be hosting a combined event which includes lunch from the wood-fired pizza oven and wine from their vineyards, along with the lively discussion found whenever Carleton folks get together. 

After lunch, you can stay for a discussion of Epitaph for a Peach: Four Seasons on My Family Farm by David M. Masumoto, hosted by the Peninsula/S. Bay Book Group.  Even if you haven’t read the book, you can come and learn something about farm life (or just have a great meal with similarly minded folks).  All alums and parents in the Bay Area, the Los Angeles area, and points in-between are welcome regardless of their involvement in the book groups.  So join us and see how fun being part of the Carleton Book Alumni Book Groups can be!   

Cost:  $30 per person (paid at the winery).  You’ll get a great lunch, winery tour, and wine tasting.

Directions to Pipestone Vineyards

Take Highway 101 to Highway 46 West.  Drive 3 miles to Oakdale Rd. Turn right.  Drive ½ mile to Las Tablas Rd. - Willow Creek Rd. Turn right.  Drive 1 mile and turn right on Niderer Rd. We are 0.8 miles on the right at 2040 Niderer Rd.
