Travels Among the Ruins

The last decade is characterized by two polar opposite financial eras: the tsunami of cheap credit during 2002-2008 and the meltdown of 2009 to the present. In the book Boomerang, Michael Lewis visits several countries to uncover the unusual financial behavior caused by the former period and the debris left by the latter. In those countries, Iceland, Greece, Ireland, Germany, and California (!), customs and behaviors that took decades, if not centuries, to develop were undone in a few short years. The roadmap to the future is no longer as clear as it once was. Do we have the resolve to rebuild?
