The Cowling Arboretum has three foci - education and research, conservation and recreation. Most Alumni remember the Arboretum fondly for the recreational opportunities the Arboretum provides - long walks under the stars, cross country skiing or running, or bird watching. With the addition of a full-time director in 2007, more emphasis has been placed on increasing the number and type of class use of the Arboretum. This talk will elaborate on those uses and Arboretum resources available to the College community.

Nancy Braker '81, Puzak Family Director of the Cowling Arboretum, will share some of the work done over the past ten years to support and increase academic use of the "Arb". Nancy returned to Carleton in 2007 after close to 20 years working for the Nature Conservancy in Minnesota, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.

No RSVP necessary to attend! And save the date for the May Breakfast Club on May 9th.
