Cabin fever? Banish it for good at our alumni spring dance event! Join us for a beginner lesson and practice party.  In addition to coaching and choreographing at Carleton and St. Mary's University,  Andrea Mirenda '93 is the Area Director for the Fred Astaire Dance Studios (and the owner of two studios).  She'll explain how she went from sleepy Northfield to the glamour & glitz of the ballroom dance world.  Enjoy demonstrations and histories of various common, popular social dances and introductory lessons to a few of those dances. Put your new skills to use at the practice party that follows, with professional instructors and members of the Carleton Ballroom Dance Club on hand to help and answer questions. No partner is necessary and dance lovers as well as anyone with two left feet or no rhythm are encouraged to attend!

Cost:  $5 includes lessons and party. To make your reservations contact the Alumni Affairs Office at 507-222-5842 or by Tuesday, April 6.
