Join Carleton alums, parents and friends at this great event at CU Boulder.  The president of Bennington College, Elizabeth Coleman, will speak about this year's Council on World Affairs theme: "What Matters.”  Coleman is one of the country’s leading innovators in higher education.  Under her leadership, the college has launched pioneering curricular programs—including the Center for the Advancement of Public Action, which encourages students to put the world’s most pressing problems at the center of their education.  Past keynote speakers have included Eleanor Roosevelt, Henry Kissinger, Arthur Miller, Charles Krauthammer, and Richard Rodriguez.

After the keynote, let's walk (or drive) .6 miles to the Dushanbe Tea House for lunch.

The 63rd Annual Council on World Affairs takes place at the University of Colorado April 4-8, 2011, gathering prominent thinkers from various fields.  There are free panel discussions all day Monday through Friday.  Last year, nearly 100,000 people attended the 200 sessions.  The detailed schedule of speakers will be available the 3rd week of March. Please see the website for information about parking and the detailed speaker schedule. http://www.colorado.edu/cwa/index.html
