You are invited to attend the next gathering of the Carleton College Twin Cities Business Alumni Club. Our topic will be women in finance. Featured speakers include Susan Hammel '86, President of Cogent Consulting PBC; Joy Lindsay '78, CEO, President and Co-Founder of StarTec Investments; and Jeninne McGee '85, Senior Vice President at Ameriprise Financial. The gathering will be moderated by Nia Harris '21, President of Carleton's Women in Economics student group.

Come to socialize and network with Carls in business and finance. Learn about possible careers in finance and the roles women play in the financial industry.

Susan Hammel Susan Hammel '86 is the President and Founder of Cogent Consulting PBC. She is serving her sixth year as the Executive in Residence for impact investing at the Minnesota Council on Foundations. She designed and launched the Minnesota Impact Investing Collaborative fund, which holds over $90 million in assets. She and the team at MCF also created and launched the Integrated Capital Recovery Program in direct response to the COVID-19 crisis and racial unrest in the summer of 2020.

 

Nia Harris Nia Harris '21 is a President of Carleton's Women in Economics student group. Nia joined Punch & Associates as an extern for the Investment Research team in December 2019. She returned in 2020 to join the firm on a part-time basis for the Wealth Strategies Group while completing her senior year.

 

Joy Lindsay Joy Lindsay '78 is the CEO, President and Co-Founder of StarTec Investments LLC, a private venture capital firm that has been investing in high-tech companies since 1998. In addition to her role at StarTec, Joy is a managing partner of the Sofia Fund II, an early-stage fund focused on making investments in companies founded by or led by women.

 

Jeninne McGee Jeninne McGee '85 is a Senior Vice President for Data Governance and Operational Risk at Ameriprise Financial and has been a Carleton College Trustee since 2017.
