The Components of Wine
The San Diego Carleton Club presents
The Components of Wine
Sunday April 27, 5:30 pm
David and Jean Ely
16068 Avenida Calma
Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067
Did you ever wonder why one wine tastes bitter and another one sweet? You'll have a chance to find out what the components of wine really are -- and then have the opportunity to try your hand at being a winemaker. Leading the tasting will be: Linda Jones McKee, Carleton '66, editor/publisher of Wine East magazine, and owner of Fleur Colline Wine Cellars in Lancaster, PA, with Richard Carey, wine consultant and president of Vitis Research (Richard also was the owner of the Richard Carey Winery in Berkeley, CA, and Research Enologist at California State in Fresno).
There will be a $15 charge for those participating in the tasting. A potluck dinner will follow the program. Please let us know how many will be tasting and bring a dish to share for dinner.
For information contact Candace Kohl 858-259-1903, ckohl@ucsd.edu.
