Melissa Harris-Lacewell, Associate Professor of Politics and African American Studies at Princeton University recently gave a lecture titled "King in the Age of Obama" in the Carleton College Chapel on January 16, 2009. Harris-Lacewell is the author of the award-winning book, "Barbershops, Bibles, and BET: Everyday Talk and Black Political Thought" and gave her presentation in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
