NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- On a day when the Carleton College men’s soccer team dominated possession, it was instead visiting Concordia College who proved victorious by a score of 1-0.
The Knights (6-4-0, 1-3-0 MIAC) outshot the Cobbers (3-6-1, 1-3-1 MIAC) by a 17-5 margin, including 12-3 in the second half. However, the lone goal of the contest came in the 41st minute Justin Froslie converted on a penalty kick.
William Lanzillo (Jr./Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) was one of Carleton’s greatest attacking threats of the day, accumulating four shots as well as creating multiple dangerous opportunities.
Carleton will hit the road to play Luther College on Sunday, Oct. 1 in Decorah, Iowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
