RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Monday’s Carleton College men’s soccer match at Concordia University-Chicago was called following a second lightning delay in the first half.
The Knights led 1-0 when play was interrupted for the first time in the 23rd minute. After waiting nearly two hours for action to resume, the team played another 13 minutes before weather halted things a second time. There is a chance that the match might be resumed at a later date, but at this time there are no plans are in place to do so.
Carleton returns to action for its home opener against North Central College (Ill.) on Friday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m.
