Here's to Tucker...

The match between Macalester and Carleton proved to be an exciting match for fans of Carleton Rugby.  Carleton opened the first half in a blitzkrieg-like fashion, scoring two trys in the first four minutes of play.  Macalester's defense proved to be riddled with holes allowing for Carleton to make many large plays. These included Forward's Captain Steve Merry's huge run up the field resulting in a try for Alex Wolff, rookie Dana Lyons breakaway run from Carleton’s own tryzone that ended with his first try, and we cannot forget senior veteran Tucker Risom drive into the try-zone off a penalty that resulted in his first try.  However, there were a few breaks in Carleton’s own defensive line, these remained largely unexploited, other than Macalester’s single try.  Overall, Carleton played a strong game, resulting in the Oaks first W for the season.
