CAMS 270: Non Fiction

Laska Jimsen's Non Fiction course addressed nonfiction media as both art form and historical practice by exploring the expressive, rhetorical, and political possibilities of nonfiction production. It also paid special attention to the ethical concerns that arise from making media out of others' lives. 

Students in the class worked in groups to create a number of videos for local nonprofits and fundraisers in the Northfield community. The videos helped raise awareness for fundraising campaigns for Northfield Healthy Community Initiative's Youth First Program and Give to the Max Day, and also highlighted the work of organizations such as the HOPE Center and Healthfinders.
