CASTL Leadership Program

In March 2006, Carleton College submitted a proposal to join the 2006-2009 round of CASTL Institutional Leadership Program. CASTL (Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) has been sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching (http://www.carnegiefoundation.org/) since 1998. Click here for the main Web site for Carnegie's CASTL program and here for the description of the 2006-2009 Institutional Leadership programs and themes.

This website includes links to Carleton's original proposal, to members of the original Carleton team and contact information. In addition, a variety of progress reports and other documents related to Carleton's CASTL projects and to other Carleton projects related to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) are posted at this site.

In the 2006-2009 CASTL Institutional Leadership Program, Carleton is part of a theme group devoted to "Cross-cutting themes in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning." Information related to the work of this theme group can be found at http://serc.carleton.edu/dev/sp/carl_ltc/castl_xcut/index.html and the pages linked from it.
