- Cajun Studies Symposium featuring talks by folklorist Barry Jean Ancelet, David Cheramie representing the CODOFIL, film-maker Erik Charpentier, and a presentation on the birth and evolution of Cajun music by Historian Kevin Fontenot and The Lost Bayou Ramblers, who closed the event with concert/dance.

- Visualizing Cultural Hybridity, featuring Métis/sage an art exhibit, the U.S. premiere of Canadian Métis artist David Garneau, campus visits by Garneau and Montreal performance artist 2fik.

- An ibook/comic book for learners of Spanish, Finita La Gringa: www.finitalagringa.org

- A series of drawings inspired by the works of Ying Chen. Several were published in Tissages (2011).
