Northfield housing rental ordinance preparatory meeting

There is a rental housing ordinance that is being proposed at the Northfield city council that would limit rental housing occupancy to THREE unrelated people. This affects most students who are planning to live off-campus next term and anyone who cares about affordable housing in Northfield. Come and learn more about it, help us to stop the occupancy limits from going through and advocate for a more community-minded approach to homeowner concerns. Without strong student opposition, the ordinance is likely to pass, meaning that Northfield option students will not be able to live with more than two roommates. There is a brief preparatory meeting tomorrow Tuesday, April 10 at 12pm in Sayles 251. Then we will go to the public meeting on Thursday, April 12 at 7pm and show the city council that students are concerned about this issue.
