Actor in "Better Luck Tomorrow" will speak.

Chinese American actor Parry Shen graduated from the State University
of New York at Buffalo with a degree in marketing and minors in media
studies and public relations/advertising. Shen is perhaps best known
as the lead in the 2002 movie "Better Luck Tomorrow." He has had a
variety of film and television roles including a recent appearance on
the ABC show, “Brothers and Sisters”. Shen has also been featured
on "Entertainment Tonight" and "Extra" as well as in Premiere, Rolling
Stone, VIBE, People Magazine, The L.A. Times and The Wall Street
Journal. In the past 3 years, Parry has spoken at over 100
universities in his spare time—demystifying the acting business and
sharing his experiences as an Asian American in the media to college
students across the country. Come for student with Parry Shen at Asia
House at 5 p.m. and then head over to Leighton 304 at 7 p.m. to view a
25-minute behind the scenes video that documents the struggle get the
film “Better Luck Tomorrow” made with an all Asian cast. Shen
will be available to answer questions and a showing of the film,
"Better Luck Tomorrow" will follow at 8 p.m.
