Our inaugural screening of the 2011-2012 school year. German director Wim Wenders' 1987 masterpiece follows an angel (Bruno Ganz) as he falls in love with one of the mortals he is meant to watch over. Keep an eye out for a cameo by Australian band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in their early years. The film won the Best Director prize at the 1987 Cannes film festival.
