The Photographer

Equipped with our cameras on the 2011 Studio Art Seminar in the South Pacific, my friend Sylvie and I learned from each other as we grew as photographers and documented the places and people we saw. Sometimes we swapped cameras to look at each others’ photos and comment on our favorites, asking questions and sharing tips. Sylvie inspired me to try new things with my photos, and to embrace what became my new favorite effect: black and white.
