PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Captured NCAA Division III national championship in 1980, Carleton’s only team national title
- 23 NCAA Championships appearances as a team, most recently in 2017 (Donson Cook-Gallardo, Matt Wilkinson, Cameron Meikle, Lucas Mueller, Tris Dodge, Hiroshi Nakajima, Keenan Ronayne)
- Five NCAA Championships top-5 finishes (1975, 1976, 1979, 1980, 1981)
- Made five straight nationals appearance from 1992-96
- 20 individual qualifiers for the NCAA Championships
- Carleton runners have earned 23 All-America citations, paced by four-time honoree Dale Kramer '78, who captured the 1976 and 1977 individual national titles. A four-time All-American in cross country, Kramer was inducted into DIII Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2013
- Won MIAC team titles in 1994, 1995, 2002, and 2017
- Finished second at the MIAC Championships in 1996, 2007, 2013, and 2014
- Four individual MIAC champions: Will Kemper (1992), Kevin Theissen (1995), Matt Hooley (2003), and Donson Cook-Gallardo (2017)
- Captured 20 Midwest Conference team titles, including nine straight from 1974-82 (placed in the top 10 at the national championships seven times during that span)
- 13 MWC individual champions, including three-time champs Mike Steiner (1966, 1967, 1968) and Dale Kramer (1975, 1976, 1977)
- First year of competition was 1913 in a dual meet against St. Olaf College.
